Each spring, the Women’s Network at VCU hosts a Recognition Reception for Ph.D. Graduates honoring women graduating with their doctoral degrees. This event recognizes the graduates for their accomplishment and as future members of the academy. Invited guests traditionally include the graduates, their academic advisors or dissertation committee chairs, doctoral program coordinators, members of the Women’s Network, and senior University administrators.
